The Validity of the TTFC-K for Preschool Children

ABSTRACT
comprehension, language comprehension, and working memory abilites. The purpose of this study was to examine the validity of the Korean version of the Token Test for Children-Second Edition (TTFC-K) in Korean children 3 to 4 years of age.
Methods
The TTFC-K and PRES-Receptive Language Test were given to 133 normal 3- to 4-year-old children who were divided into four age groups. The scores of the two tests were used for a concurrent validity study.
Results
Significantly high correlations were obtained between the TTFC-K and PRES-Receptive Language Test. The content validity of the TTFC-K was found to be significant. The differences among the total scores of the TTFC-K in each of the four age groups were also found to be significant.
Discussion & Conclusion
This study suggests that the Korean version of TTFC-2 is a valid tool for measuring language comprehension as well as working memory skills in children 3 to 4 years of age.
